A high stakes cash game with a minimum buy-in of $130,000 has attracted a number of big names from the poker world.

The Asian Poker Tour, which is staging the filmed event at the Galaxy StarWorld Hotel and Casino, announced on its website that several of the continent's most successful card sharps will be taking part, alongside the Texas Dolly Doyle Brunson.

Chris Parker, the organisation's chief executive, told poker fans: "When it airs [on television] we predict you will witness record breaking pots!

"You think the action in Vegas is big, just wait and see what comes out of Macau!"

Brunson is prepared to pay at least $260,000, the website said, with suggestions that he will likely buy-in for a lot more than he needs to.

The ten-time World Series of Poker bracelet holder will be joined by fellow luminaries Johnny Chan, John Juanda, Kenny Tran and JC Tran, as well as his son Todd.

Bobby's Room at the Bellagio in Las Vegas is where Brunson usually plays his cash games.
